Marco
Matheus

Writer / Director

Marco Matheus is a young up-and-coming Brazilian director known for creating profitable low budget films in exotic locations. As a director, Marco exhibits a unique and flashy filmmaking style, which on numerous occasions has been stylistically compared to Guy Ritchie and Quentin Tarantino. Marco began his career producing electronic music as well as directing and editing music videos, gaining great accolades for the music videos he made for popular Brazilian television host Yudi Muniz. His first ever film, Soroche, which featured Brazilian rapper Thaíde as well as Brazilian singer/actor Sérgio Hondjakoff, was an award winning cult hit. Soroche was distributed by O2Filmes, one of the largest and most respected production companies in South America, best known for their release of the Oscar nominated film City of God. Marco's second directed film, Scam Republique was shot in Cameroon, and like his first film, was a profitable endeavor with extensive international sales. His third film, Wanderlust, was shot in six different countries and once again is set to be released by O2Filmes in 2022. Rage Pill will be Marco's fourth film, and admittedly his "his best script to date."

Marco Matheus

Marco Matheus is best known for the films he directed, but his experience with cinematography and his aesthetics in composing a perfect shot is as extensive as you could expect from a film director. Marco directed and shot, taking on the role of cinematographer, his most recent film, Wanderlust, which is set to be released by 02Filmes in Fall 2022. His past experience includes not only directing four different music videos for famous TV host Yudi Tamashiro, but also shooting one of them on his own, once again taking in the role of cinematographer. Other prominent works include being the sole creator for the music video, Postal De Amor, for Brazilian singer Daniel Peixoto. Marco not only directed and shot Peixoto's sci-fi music video himself, he also color corrected and edited all the effects for the music video, taking inspiration from Chris Nolan's Interstellar.
